Hello everyone, My name is Brian. I am obviously new not just to this community but in coin collecting. I looked at my change.one day in roughly 2022 and I had a N. Dakota st & Mass St quarter as well as Gettysburg ATB. I did a half second double take thinking quarters have an Eagle on the back. I starting googling & reading. I've always taken my change and usually $1 & $5 bills toss them in a can. When I had enough cans in my Ex wife's way in the closet I'd dump them at a coinstar. So I started searching & paying for everything in cash to get change. No lie 2 days later I come out of 7-11 looking at my change and I find a 1948 quarter. I didn't even know it was silver just old. Got home googled found out it was silver. So boy did I save everything!! Lol. If it was from the 80's or older didn't matter color, condition, ect I bought 1000 flips. I first bought a box of nickels & quarter's. After I read just enough to get me in trouble Everything I saw or read seemed like pennys were WAY more valuable so I made great friends with the girls at my bank. I burned through 3 boxes of pennys & 1 box of Halves in between from my bank. Needles to say I was down from my ex so I worked and coin roll hunted for 7-8 months. After the guest room in my new place was filled with coins & I was finding rolls of Kennedy's under the couch I was like this is disturbing! Lol. So I stared reading, not just watching videos on different coin errors but why & whatakes them an error or variety. I really got hook on double dies, specifically double ears. I find them Aggravating as heck because I'll see one that looks just like the 1983 or 97 on a 79 or 2000 but Nope it's nit a double ear! So Needles to say I just spent another month not buying and ripping thousands of staples our of flips because it comes to find out that 1974 BN penny isn't worth anything just because it's 50 years old. They made a half a billion p's alone that year or whatever lol. So I now have like 1500 flips to fill! Lol. I just bought 15-20 mint sets, couple proof sets way too many OBW rolls from 1958-1963 and almost every year of 1980's and 90's I could. Lol. I have read probably 100 posts on here. Usually they all have 1 thing in common and that's "you need to do some work on your own". I first thought there were a lot of rude people on here and felt bad for some of the people asking questions. I was like I would never post muchless join. But research a lot. You guys pop up on almost every google search. Lol. I kept reading here & there. Then this post I'm guessing it was a kid. My.guess he knew nothing and was posting evey coin he got like the guy with 100 lottery tickets that knows he didn't win but still wants to hold up the line and have.the cashier check each one. Lol. I apologize I'm going way to long. I was going through the half's on a few mint sets and I've been on this 1990 D Kennedy since 4:30-5pm. Lo And I would love to find people interested in collecting, learning, ect. I love talking about history, coins and learning from other and hopefully one day be able to help someone as well. I apologize again for the long email. My name is Brian, I'm 51, from Philly but live in Boca Raton FL. I've been in Finance for 29 yrs and 3 weeks. Lol just hit 29 yrs last month. #128074;#128074; for any ladies #127801;#127801;
