First thing I like to point out is the word Liberty. Why is the bert bigger than the other letters. It goes from left to right getting bigger and then smaller again. Is this a case of Machine Doubling and if so why didn't the other letters come out the same? Or could it just be extra thickness?

This actually looks completely normal to me. I don't even see MD. The uneven size of letters is probably due to wear.

I have found multiple 60's & 70's Lincolns with that same phenomenon. Never did find
any relatable answers as to what or why. LIBERTY
