I would like to know opinions on this one. Mid to upper AU is what I want to say. Help me out here. Thanks.

Quite a bit of wear on the reverse, I'd say XF-45, although the obverse might push it to AU-50. Either way, looks like an old cleaning on the obverse.

Coloring on both sides is too even and silky - these are not natural surfaces.

Does appear cleaned at one time. Xf/au but decent type set example.

Thanks to all for the input. How would this coin be cleaned to alter the natural surfaces in this manner? For my education.

XF45 details (cleaned)

cleaning does not necessarily mean you will see harsh lines. a chemical cleaning or even light wash may not exhibit that. the coins surfaces are flat and dull. something you would see on lower grades. the original surfaces have been removed.
