Nice find! I had to go back to an earlier post where I had die chips in KA but they were different from yours so maybe I don't have to dig the coin out for another look.

I'm with Arby - I see it as MD - no split serifs noted.. I guess I have to learn this one too..

I can understand how the separation can be confused with MD. There are split serifs here, but they are not especially easy to see. On this example the bottoms of the RIB in PLURIBUS seem like the easiest ones to spot. On VDDR-001, the tops of AMERICA seem to have the best splits.

Super discovery Gigi2110! I notice that the K and A in Kanaka appear to either contain die chips or are circulation hits. Any idea what these may be? If these are die chips that would be a significant marker for this variety.
