Hey came across this 1996 P Dime with some kind of weird deformity and just curious if anyone can help me out. Only found one other example kind of similar but no info! Please help! Thanks:)
to the CCF, Awilson7691! From what I can see in your picture, it looks like your dime is simply damaged - PMD - and not an error. A picture of the reverse would allow confirmation. Also, please crop your images to remove all of the blank space.

Awilson7691, I agree with heat damage like from a campfire or a house fire. In future posts,please crop photos right up to the coin with no background...thanks. John1
to CCF as stated This is a heat damaged dime. But when posting coin images, please crop the images to the coins edges removing as much background as possible.
