An old coworker sent me these pics and asked what I thought.. I said science experiment? Part of some promotion or gimmick? But thought I'd ask and see if anyone's gotta more definitive answer. Fronts gold colored. Rim too. Back regular silver colored

It was gold plated. PMD. No premium. Could of been used in a science experiment, or was plated to sell them for premiums, even though there's no collector value for it.

Somehow just the obverse was plated, and I don't know why....
