Hello Everyone.

I have this 2000-D South Carolina that weighs 5.73 grams. I had reported it as 5.729 gram on another post, but today it shows 5.73 grams. There is really nothing particular about it, although the orange part of the ridge is pretty much dominant.

Feel free to comment. I don't know much about it. I tried to look up any history or reports on this, but did not find anything that was helpful.

It's still within tolerance. The edge of your quarter has been worn down by circulation.

Thank you. What is the range of tolerance, keeping in mind that a circulating coin will lose some of its weight overtime?

A quarter weighs 5.67 grams and has a tolerance of ± 0.227 grams. The low side will be 5.44g and on the high side it will 5.90g.
