Hey all,

I found this in my collection and had completely forgotten about it. I measured it out to 39mm wide, 3mm thick and my scale isn't that sensitive but 27g. Seems legit to me, does anything stand out to you guys as illegitimate? I was concerned about the browning on the obverse, as I was afraid it may be rust, but all the metrics are coming up as ok so let's see what you guys think.

Looks OK to me. The brown staining I have seen on many coins before - probably the residue of glue or other organic material.

Most of the fakes I have seen have a weakness to Britannia's cape, which this one does not have.

I took a cotton swab and some acetone to it but stopped as I was afraid it was starting to look cleaned

I would have not used the swab. Just a soak to remove any organic residue.

Then again, the organic residue may have prevented the covered surfaces from toning at the same rate as the exposed areas.

It still looks ok, the pics I posted are after the acetone cotton debacle, so I think I'm ok
