I agree with Spence's skillful identification of your coins. Of course your first coin appears to have a B where the cited one has a K (maybe a different mint?, I'm not an expert on Byzantine coins).
For the second coin you might consider soaking and ultrasonic cleaning with detergent and water, with gentle application of a toothbrush. It might help remove some of the encrusting soil (or might not). Might have to be repeated. This is a gentle process and would not harm the coin.
