Hi all new here. Been collecting for some time but don't know enough. I found a quarter today that felt weird after inspecting it, I realized it feels like it's been double pressed and there is grooves missing from about 50-60% of the quarter. I haven't measured it yet but it seems like it's thicker than usual. Was wondering if anyone can give me some insight. Don't know if it's common or valuable

To CCF! Can you get full obverse and reverse pictures? Also, you should wear gloves or hold it by the edge only, when handling coins.

As mentioned, we need a couple more photos. Please properly crop them before posting. You need to dip that coin in 100% pure acetone asap, not standard nail polish remover.

looks like damage to me - if it were a partial collar, wouldn't the non reeded section extend beyond the reeded area? Not go in towards the center?

Good point Dearborn. A partial collar would have a "rail road wheel" effect... just my opinion
