I was recently doing a bit of browsing on ebay and came across a seller offering a 1999 Susan B. Anthony ( SBA) $1 Uncirculated Set with its original promotional card insert for the 1999 Yellowsrone National Park Silver Dollar. As I'm not a collector of the SBA series, I had not previously looked at the coin's 1999 Uncirculated Coin Set and therefore was unaware that it included a promo card for the Yellowstone commemorative dollar.

The SBA Set being offered was inexpensive, so I clicked "Buy It Now!" and the Set (with promo card) was soon on its way ro me. The card is in no way scarce, but it's an interesting piece of US commemorative coin ephemera that fits nicely into my collection.

As noted in the past, geysers don't lend themselves to sculpture very well.

As mentioned, the geyser rendition has no appeal to it but the reverse dose look good.

My 1999 SBA set has the same promo card. I never thought about it much, but it's interesting. I wonder if there are promo cards out there for the other two commemoratives from 1999?

I'm wondering the same. It's not a collecting area that I have explored.

That is a nice addition for your ephemera collection @commems.

I note that the order card goes into a fair bit of detail discussing the consequences of a 'sell out' with the mintage limited to 500,000 coins.

Does the enabling legislation call for 500,000 total of both versions (Proof and UNC) or was it 500,000 of each version?

I made a quick check on actual production totals and there were 270,000 total coins sold with ~187K Proof and ~82K UNC.

So much for worrying about a sell out.

The legislation called for 500,000 TOTAL coins (i.e., Proof and Uncirculated combined).
