MTN Coin...
My email says Qty 5 @ $8.95 - Backordered 06/29/09.
I wonder if that means I will get mine or not.

I'm already wondering what prices ebay will have for :All four designs, a two Roll Set of each design in one shipment ! Now THAT will be interesting to watch ! ..  $250.00 ?........more ? .......less ?.......very curious to see that one at the end of this year ! And I'm certainly not expecting to be one of the lucky few to get the Special Lincoln Set (50,000 mintage).......but the "price bubble" for that will be interesting as well ! I bet they just have a limit of "one" per household on that Set ! Or at least I hope so, so that I have a chance to obtain one of them !

How are you guys ordering more than the 5 set household limit? Apparently, your conscience isn't bothering you.

Everybodys order says " Backordered"........just like the last one...... right up until they ship them to ya ! ....

Eaglefoot, based on two rolls for $100.00 right now, all four versions would be roughly $400.00 and I'm betting that the premium for a complete set will push it over $1000.00.

NOW "THAT" WOULD BE INCREDIBLE ! ....... JUMPIN' GEE HOSAPHATS !The folks who adamantly ONLY want to pay " face value" for these " cheap/Zinc" coins and "paying extra for the Mint wrapping" etc., etc., etc., ....... would be beside themselves with bewilderment and annoyance if the "complete Set" were to sell for that ! .. (They'll be yelling "But my Bank wrapped rolls are the same exact coin !!  .....and all the while their cute little Stringer bank rolls are selling for $4.00 or $5.00 apiece ! Hee Hee......just doesn't make any sense huh ? ....Ha Ha LoL ! ) $1,000.00 for a complete Set ? ......that would be just astonishing ! Only keep in mind, that post-bubbleburst, the LP1's have been already reported to have fallen to $40.00 per two roll Set on ebay. I don't know this first-hand, not being an Ebayer myself, but that was posted on here. But if you ended up being accurate with that prediction........ MAN ! .....I just might have to re-consider my "never sold a coin in my life" rule ! I already ordered four Sets this time, instead of sticking to my original plan for three two roll sets of each design......thinking maybe I might sell the one "extra" set of these. Not sure really what to do with the "extra" set......maybe try to sell it here on CCF. ...

Yeah I wonder what would happen to those who try to "gift" sets to friends/family members? Using the same CC but shipping to different addresses. I can see why the gub-mint would see that as just someone trying to catch some extra sets, but it also makes sense that you want a set for yourself and want to gift one to someone else. I call it my "Lincoln two roll extra stress Set" !.......I believe I priced this Set at $750.00 earlier, and was then under bid by a nickel ! But since you're my friend, and I've known you longer than anyone else on CCF........I'll make you a deal. I'll cut er' down to ....... $649.95

Well, hopefully all is not lost...I tried for about half an hour here at noon before a very short but violent little t-storm rolled through and put us all in the dark  for almost 3 hours!! First thing I did when the power came back on was, log in and place my order, get my order number and the wonderful backorder message that everyone gets...can't wait to get 'em! Whew! |
