That's the Downies money advertisement. Stateing that they are trading at around $7500 !
"Such an exceedingly rare event, there are few issues against which one can compare this mind-blowing Mule $1 Proof. The most obvious comparison is with the 2001 $200 Silver Kookaburra Mule, which now trades at around $A$7,500!"
(I checked Macca's page 312 of the 13th edition. The 2001 Error/mule silver one-ounce issue with wrong obverse, mintage 20? (About 100 escaped and 80 were returned) Issue price $53 Current retail $1,550. An example did sell for $2,330 at a Downies auction)
I imagine the holder of this $1,550.00 to $2,330 coin saw that advertisement and decided to sell. This is a much watch auction to see what it goes for. They are rarely for sale,
The main reason proof mules aren't up to that of circulating ones is because all of them are proof where circulating ones need to be found in the highest grade you can get. I would have been dissappointed if the kooka mule went for less though.
