I flagged this because it was different from the other coins though I have this before and paid no attention to it. If it is doubled then it would be another unlisted.

I'm not really sure on this one. Is it supposed to look like that or is it doubled?

One DDR showed a window like that and when I look at other nickels that I've gone through today, they don't look like that. At the same time, I know I've seen this many times and took it as part of the design. So now I'm all confused on it.

I believe that is part of the design.

It's probably also one of the details that wears quickly on the dies, and on the coins themselves in circulation.

That seems plausible.

Brand is right. It is part of the design. I went back and looked at the DDR that had this window and had to put my dunce cap on. The doubling was so obvious I don't know how I didn't see it right away in the photo on Wexler's.

Agree, definitely part of the coin design.
