I have a 1955-D Lincoln Cent that has no V.D.B. initials under the portrait. I tried hard to find it but it isn't there! Also has a filled first 5 in the date and a large die break on the reverse left wheat stalk. Has anyone seen this before?

The cents of 1955 are so rift with flaws that it's hard to know where to begin describing them.

That Lincoln Cent was struck with some tired dies. I see die chips in the "5" and the reverse wheat ear. The VDB initials don't show because they were most likely polished off the obverse die.

Looks like a pre Cud on the reverse at the left wheat grain. I didn't see it listed on Cuds on Coins.

Yes, that is a new one I think. May be worth a PM to JC for listing.
