Eaglefoot, I will take any extras you don't want, LOL.

There will be no "extras" ! ..... .... I want them all !

This is the only *change " I " can believe in* !.....(sorry Obama fans!)

Many a time I've cashed in a years worth of "pocket change" accumulation....and been quite pleased with the results !
Now, true, it might take 5 wheelbarrows worth of Lincolns to buy a loaf of bread.......but hey......every little bit helps !

2009 One Cent Coins - Called "Lincoln Bicenntenial Cents 1, 2, 3 and 4"
2010-2059 - Lincoln Shield cent

Just my guess!

I'd be okay with that ! ...
Or maybe this :

Lincoln Wheat Cent ........(1909-1958)
Lincoln Memorial Cent ....(1959-2008)
Lincoln Anniversary Cent (2009 only)
Lincoln Shield Cent ........(2010-2060)

But, it must be agreeable that we CANNOT continue to call 2009 and beyond "LMC's" any longer (as per the topic heading of this particular discussion thread !

You have to be cautious about bank rolls, some of them are mixed with previously circulated coinage.

On the other hand, if you open a box of cents with 2009 coins on the end of *every* roll, then odds are that they are complete rolls of the new cents.

I have only heard of the "mixed Lincoln cents " in boxes horror, I received 2-boxes, P&D and this was not the case. The quality is terrible, but I don't know is this that common?.
I would agree there should be a name for the 2009 Lincoln Cents, and the " Anniversary Cents" would do.LP1, LP2, LP3, LP4, As the Mint would call them.......
Also, This person selling these coins could be another Bank MGR, running a business on ebay, and when we walk in,to the bank, they are telling us "I am sorry, we can not get those coins". Because of things like this, people have these coins in Large amounts.Sounds cynical, but true.

One seller at the Denver Coin Expo had 2009 Cents rolled in both
the traditional paper String and Sons shotgun rolls (bank rolls), and in the clear plastic 'loose-end' rolls used by some drug & grocery stores for their drawers.

The odd thing: He was charging $1 more for the paper bank rolls than for the plastic rolls , which made no sense to me, because in the clear plastic rolls, you can see the edges of the coins when they're still in the roll, which means that you know that the roll is in fact all BU coins, at a glance.

"Anniversary Cents" is good for the 2009's, with "Shield Cents" for 2010-?
I'm doubtful they'll make it to 2058 as a business strike issue, but they may still be in the Mint Sets (as the Half-Dollar coin is now).
At the rate the Mint goes, the JFK half will still be in the 2058 Mint Sets...

I stand corrected. I agree the 2009s should not be referred to as LMCs. Another poster on this forum has already dubbed the next round of 2009s "Kramer Cents." Find the post and you'll see why.

I have another box of 2009 D log cabin rolls (Brinks). I'll offer them for sale if there is any interest.
