Why would a seller on ebay ask 150 bucks for this coin and only 5 bucks delivery. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3059178852...+cent+nickel

It's ebay, remember? It isn't the real world.

Because there are new people coming into coin collecting like when I started and bought a silver dollar MS 65 and I found out later from another person that collected coins that it was an extra fine. (fooled me)

Someone put one on ebay for a ridiculous price now anyone not knowledgeable in coins who has one thinks they are all worth that amount. there are about 5 or 6 on ebay right now.
This happens quite often.

If you want to have a good laugh, take a look at the circulated American 1776-1976 bicentennial quarters on ebay. You can still find them in common pocket change, but people ask hundreds or thousands of dollars on ebay. It's more fun if you use the max price slider, because you can see the coins dropping out of the search. There are junk coins all over ebay, but some specific "special" coins are catnip for the crazies.

Yes, goldnugget, it's always wise to order items from a guy with a "2" feedback
