Hi all. Picked this up from the market last Sunday just gone, I have it as a Polish silver 3 Grosh, 1599? Can someone confirm or set me straight lol.

Yes, I agree--that image of Sigismund III is iconic. Here is what I believe to be the best match on numista, but this is def in @tdz's wheelhouse.

This type was struck at 5 mints, but only Wschowa (mint mark F) and Poznan (P) have the mint mark left of the small lion shield reverse. Here is the Poznan version: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces97329.html

Though the area of the mint mark is worn on yours, the F looks more likely, and the bust styles are slightly different, so I agree Wschowa/Fraustadt looks like the best match.

Too bad Siggy took a hole in the head, but nice historic coin!
