Yes, it does indeed appear to be a coin of Peter the Great. I think it;s a half-rouble (KM# 156); can you confirm the diameter is about 33mm?

For coins from the 1700's, I only have a 2002 Krause catalogue - and it's hopelessly out of date with regard to pricing Russian coins.

It gives a value of $80 in this condition.

If it is genuine, you can expect to sell at least 5 times of that price. I know I can never get any Peter I poltinas for any less than 100USD regardless of any condition.
