Hi guys, my dad has some old coins from all over the world.
He has some old Irish ones which he believes might be of some value.

Would anyone be able to see whether one or two might be worth anything?

They are some scans below, front and backs, some Irish, English and some other interesting and old coins. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks guys.
Shane

Nice little varied lot of coins. Unfortunately, nothing of any great rarity

1938 and 1940 are the ones to watch for when it comes to Irish pennies. 1939 (only 2 known) is the rarest.

The French 1903 25 centimes looks nice. But yeah, I can't say it's rare.

Thanks for the help guys, he's had them for years and though one or two might be valuable.
That French one is nice alright, there are a few Philippino coins in his collection box too which are quite nice.

I'll pass on the info, thanks again.
All the best!

Shane, as everyone has said, nothing of great value. One thing I did notice however when I opened the pictures was that many of the coins has what is called "verdigris" on them. That is the green stuff and is very detrimental to coins. If you plan on keeping them then I would not put any of the coins without this in with the coins that do. That stuff will transfer to the other coins and destroy them as well. That green stuff is like cancer to coins, especially copper coins.

Agreed. Nothing of much monetary value, but since they are from your dad, they are priceless!
