thought the subject would get someone looking
the pictures just don't show the faded detail on this coin.
So I have drawn what I can see I'm not an artist so don't critisize.
it doesn't look or feel like bronze / copper /etc. it looks like tacky cheap gold, but I don't know how to test it

this coin measures 13mm at its widest point but it weighs 2.13g

Obverse :head facing right with some kind of headress or crown
and a chain around the neck line, and it looks like a laurel
in the back ground of his/her chin.
Reverse: naked lady posing facing left, with what looks like a bird in right hand ,and I'm not sure if its a four pointed star,or 4 chain links..

any help would be appreciated a lot

G'day, the degree of corrosion suggests a copper coin.
13mm is very small for a coin. Most coins of that diameter weigh barely a gram. Does it seem unusually thick ?
The figure on the reverse has a similarity to Britannia holding her trident.
The obverse could be any monarch.

I don't think it's a naked lady; I think the corrosion on this coin is fooling you into seeing things that aren't really there.

Reclining figures on ancient coins are most usually male, and represent rivers; the "reclining river-god" is a common motif on Roman Provincial coins from cities situated on rivers. This CoinArchives search page shows several examples.

The only common "reclining female" I could find is Via Traiaina, a personification of a road on Roman coins of Trajan.

I can't even tell whether the obverse portrait is of Tyche, or an emperor. But I can't see anything that looks like Greek or Latin lettering, that would indicate the city of issue.

As for the metal, if it's yellow, it's orichalcum: Roman brass. The alloy doesn't contain any gold, but when whizzed or polished, it can have a very gold-like appearance, though when it comes out of the ground after 2000 years, it's usually quite black.

the only measurement I forgot, thickness of this coin is 2.5mm
@sap, diffinetly a naked lady, the photo images are not great but
the bust is well defined and what represents the nipples are of equal size and shape.
and no matter how long I leave this coin in olive oil and clean with baking soda
after a short time (15-30min) it starts to turn black again.

will try cleaning again and photographing a better pic

Roman Bordello coin, Venus at one side, Virgin Roma at the front. Several of them were found in the surroundings of Herculaneum and pompey during the thirties of the last century.

But wouldn't such a brothel token (spintria) usually have some kind of face value? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spintria ...

Nope, commercial spintriae had face value, special guests could only show their spintria without face value like a badge. you could order your own design once you were rich to give away for business relations, giving them the possibility to ... into special appointed guesthouses. Bordellos were so common, guest houses were not.
