I'm trying to get all the Barbers as well!

Well guys, I finally figured out a way to get pictures in the member's gallery - transferred my saved scans to photobucket (obverse only, but the reverse of each is similar to the obverse) - reduced them there, created a new folder in my documents file, transferred them back to that folder in my computer, and then I was able to post them in my own gallery here on the forum. Kinda like takin' the long way home, but I finally there.
Should you decide you would like to go take a gander at what I've put together over the past four years, know that the majority of my collection is circulated (what my coin collecting budget demands) and some are very, very circulated. It's not a real big collection, and not necessarily something to be envious of, but it's brought me alot of enjoyment, and I wanted to share it with the members. I think I enjoy the chase more than the getting, so saving up alot to buy a super nice coin is almost impossible for me. As I said, the fun is in the hunt (for me).

TSOTL - I grew up here - joined the Marine Corps back in '65, and pretty well stayed gone (other than an occasional trip back to visit with family) up until 2003 when I moved back to stay.
I'm closer to Jerry Sloan's age - most of the older folks here have pretty well followed his basketball career since he was in high school. I'd venture to say that most folks have their tv tuned to the game everytime the Utah Jazz is playing - kind of a local hero.
Another local boy that went on to play pro sports (football) was Carl Mauck.
Not bad for a little ol' town of around 2,000 - huh?

Yep ShadowCreator, everything I've read so far would indicate the Barber Series has been long overlooked by collectors; however, I've been seeing more written about them recently, and I think they might possibly be easing their way toward the spotlight.
It may be that the scads of new collectors (myself included) who began collecting with the Statehood Quarters have most of the modern day issues in place, and are beginning to eye the older coins for their collections.
That is, of course, pure speculation on my part, but I do believe that the coming years will see an increased interest in this series.
