It's also possible to set up a recurring donation to a favorite charity for those who are able. On the original question, it sounds like a kind of expensive psych experiment, and I don't like the experimental design so far. We'd need to get more than a single data point to draw any kind of conclusion, for one thing. While we are at it, we could also ask whether it is ethical for the cashier to swap out the coin without consent of the business owner. Report this Post to the Staff
