Before everyone starts telling me I'm crazy and/or tries to make me out to be dumb, let me say I know what I'm suggesting that I found is beyond impossible/improbable . and I feel like that as well. But I'll be darned if it sure as heck doesn't seem like that is what is going on with this coin. You can even see an S mint mark in the place it would be in relation to the 3/2. And before you say this is just damage . it's awfully strange how damage manifest itself as a 3 over a 2 along with the a faint s mint mark in the same place it would be in relationship to the 3/2. Opinions please!

It's customary to post full, large and sharp images of the obverse and reverse. This allows us to better understand the full context of what we're looking at. Thanks.

Its not damage. Its Pareidolia. Your mind is making something familiar out of what it is seeing. The 4 would literally be over the 3 and 2 in an overdate coin. Mintmark would be in the same location as the D.

Not saying you're not seeing what you think you're seeing, but.... considering the coin is 80 years old, a mintage of 430,578,000, no others have been found, confirmed, slabbed & you have the only one in existence, is extremely improbable. Based on the pics, I'm seeing a circulated 1944 D w/ no evidence of multiple overdates.

Just circulation wear, PMD on the mint mark, and Pareidolia.

I'm totally aware of it most likely being pereidolia . in the images I highlighted with red and blue what I see . and coin in hand when looking at it it stands out and doesn't come off as damage . and not saying that it is a 100% what I see, however I don't think the argument of "being that it's the only one in existence it's probably not likely " isn't a sound argument to discredit it . Lou Gehrig's disease wasn't a thing until it was discovered, same as any first discovery with any coin. Nothing is a thing until it's found to be . just saying. But yeah I'm realistic and definitely leaning towards it being coincidental that the damage appears the way I see it.

You must be crazy!
nah but seriously I agree with above, it's just Pareidolia. No evidence of anything else.
