Such rarities! Wonderful examples of both. S-266A. Both coins are the same die state (D, Breen IV) with obverse and reverse Cuds both formed. Breen identified 4 die states (I, II, III, and IV) but the 3rd die state (so-called "C") actually has early and late varieties (in the earlier state C1, the reverse Cud over MERI is only partially formed between E-R; in the later state C2, the Cud is fully formed across all letters.) The 1st coin has a slightly sharper obverse strike in some places but the 2nd coin has a slightly sharper obverse strike in other places. Reverse of the 1st coin is sharper. Fields on the 1st coin have many more contact marks, but the 2nd coin has a rim bump obverse at K3. Both planchets exhibit areas of light porosity which are not inconsistent with the type. Overall they are fairly evenly matched; I'd grade the first coin VG 10 net VG 8 due to the contact marks and the 2nd coin VG 10 net VG 7 due to the rim bump and slightly weaker reverse.

I'm not a pro like paralyse, but I grade these coins more on the F range, especially the latter.

I estimate would be F-12. I would be ecstatic to have either in my collection. Beauties.

Thank you, everybody for your comments and grade opinions.
Thank you, @paralyse for your detailed comments on the die state, I learnt something interesting I was not aware of.
Personally, I have always graded this coin (the bottom one) as VG8 and that is probably correct as per EAC standards. It shows very nicely in-hand.

I think 8 on the 2nd is just as reasonable. It's just a matter of what each individual person "values" a particular issue at in terms of net grade. I've seen some people who will knock 30-40 points off for a light cleaning which would be maybe a 5 point net drop for others. EAC is weird sometimes!
Either which way, they're both beautiful.

Has anyone seen paralyze and panzaldi in the same room together?
