The fact it's not in a TPG holder is a red flag for me. Had too many coins come back body bagged lately.

That gash would details it - almost hits the date. I'm guessing someone cracked a details coin and performed a little Wayte Raymond toning voodoo. Which honestly looks pretty darn good. I'd still be interested if the price was right.

I think you are right Docc, is details generally 25% of market value or? Its in the ms range, anoying hit on shield edge also

Hard coin to evaluate from these photos. The photos make the coin appear to be MS, but I would not be surprised if it is actually AU. Grade - MS/AU Details scratched. On a details coin, I am more in the 50% of market value and work my way up depending on scarcity, grade, series, and condition.

The damage is in a relatively inconspicuous location and the remainder of the coin is attractive, so the penalty to value in terms of damage might be less severe than if the scratch were in a more prominent location.
I don't see any overt signs of wear in the usual places, but I also think this is a coin that was cleaned and has since (prettily) re-toned.
