Interesting. Is it for sure MD? I think that P in Pluribus, OF, and AMERI all have doubling to the left side, too. Also the eagle's neck, leftmost claw, and the leaf beside the arrowheads, plus the R in quarter.

Just curious, I am not terribly familiar with Washington quarters.
