oddguy Pillar of the Community United States 4135 Posts	Posted 12/22/2024 3:46 pm Lay a comb on a paper, draw a line across comb with pencil. The pencil mark will not mark the paper because it is in a valley, just like the letters are on the shield of penny. Report this Post to the Staff

oddguy Pillar of the Community United States 4135 Posts	Posted 12/23/2024 07:05 am Sorry you did not understand my example of the comb. My lack of explaining needs working on. But the point I was making is the pencil line is on the top of the comb, not the paper. Just pretend the line on comb is a scratch, it will look like the line has skipped over the paper, just like the scratch on your coin skipped over the letters not under them.
