Definitely. Looks like a really nice CBH - I dig the circulation cameo.

VG straight looks good to me.

Also, it is not an 1824/1. This appears to be an O-113 which also has a close date, but additionally has S7 touching the cap and the right end of the scroll under M in AMERICA which is not positioned on either the 1824/1 reverses.

Is O-113 the most common variety? The PCGS website has it valued far less than any of the others.

Ironically the O-113 is an R-2 while the 1824/1 O-101 is only an R-1. But there is nothing unique about the O-113 so there is no premium listed beyond common date price.

well, when I look at stars 2-5 I see strong strikes that do not match up to the wear on this coin. same goes for the reverse lettering. the shield definition looks like a coin in the F12 range

the strike issues with these makes grading such a challenge. if coins are graded the way they come from the mint, which I think they should, i'd call this a weak strike and i'd say the coin was VF30 based on the above. however, that apparently is not how things work in the real world.

since this is not the case then they need to be netted based on the amount of weakness and wear which is difficult to determine where strike leaves off and wear takes over.

i'll call it F12 who knows what a TPG would say. either VG10 or F12 imo
