Yes sorry for the microscope, I have a little bit to fun.

So I can't find this reverse on vamworld. I have checked every listing, there are not so many.

The obv date shares the markings of vam9 in the 88 and the dot on
5 (but the dot is low not top)

The rev has many diecracks and a weird arrowshaft break if its not PMD.

You had it right, VAM-9: http://ec2-18-221-104-31.us-east-2....1885-O_VAM-9

Die cracks match in the full coin photo.

Very nice find, decent RPD!

I don't think the die cracks are described but, if you click the left and right arrows on the full coin pictures to see the reverse side, you can see the die cracks are present.

Nice one! On Vamworld the descriptions are not always complete and indicators like cracks can begin, grow, change with later stages of the dies striking many coins. Clashes with letter transfers can come, go away.

Vamworld used to designate a variety rarity rating R-1 to R-7 as I remember. But they were so outdated they deleted them. Would be quite a task to ask collectors to report varieties to have a descent database.

Thanks living, yes sometimes the descriptions on vamworld puzzles me, diecracks are only described sometimes.
a rarityindex would be a major task, but I know most vams is not commanding a premium, but I find it relaxing to look for them.

Yes it's fun looking for VAM varieties though most do not add value. Those designated as Top 100, Super Clashed Die, Hit List 40 etc. do carry higher premiums. Some major errors have been given names like scarface, hot lips.
