I have this 1919 Lincoln Wheat cent with unknown markings in the field next to lincolns face on the obverse. It seems to me these markings are prior to the print because there are no other marks on the rim or on lincolns head. Can anyone help me identify this?

To CCF! It might be a Lamination, but it's hard to tell with the current photo. https://www.error-ref.com/lamination-cracks/ Also, coins are struck, not printed.

A better photo would help but it appears to be a counterstamp of some sort.

I agree with E&V - looks like a lamination even with the bad pics. But then below it may be some Reed Marks.

As some have said above, looks more like a lamination peel made during the manufacture of the coin.
