It's always great to buy from a vendor with"0" feedback. He's wrong with the fineness, because only the outer ring is .99 Ni. The inner is .92 Cu, with .06 Al and .02 Ni. But who know if the Chinese made to fake the right way. Except for the dings and wear, I guess you could say that it was uncirc at one time.

There is no way that coin makes it into my collection in that condition, camel toe or not.

Sections 460 through 462 of the C.C. Of Canada describe penalties of up to 14 years for selling that toonie...it belongs to His Majesty, the King, as do all counterfeit monies, unless accompanied by "a certificate signed by a person designated as an examiner of counterfeit by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, stating that any coin, paper money or bank-note described therein is counterfeit money or that any coin, paper money or bank-note described therein is genuine and is or is not, as the case may be, current in Canada or elsewhere"...
I teach law and I show my students the various toonies I've collected from Tim Hortons over the past few years, and I try to get them to identify what is wrong with the fakes, compared to the real deal, and then we talk about how minor deceptions like this cost us all as taxpayers down the line. Plus, it lets us talk about coins for a while too, haha

Bucsfan - sounds like you should have a chat with Mike Marshall. Mike has been leading the fight against Canadian counterfeit coins since the mid-2000s.
I think you both would enjoy a conversation on this topic.
