This was my first time searching non Loomis/customer wrapped rolls I got from a bank. After about five rolls the light finally went off.there was not a single copper cent in any roll, they had all been culled.
I know the US does not have an ARP program like here in Canada so I assume the supplier culled the copper and silver on their own.

Is this now common among all third party providers ? I hope it doesn't kill coin roll hunting like it did in Canada for the most part.

Interesting. Down here in the US, About 60% of my cent roll searches involve Loomis-wrapped coin. I still find copper Lincolns--perhaps 20-25% of each roll; some more, some less.

I would say that the cent rolls I have obtained at the bank (all Loomis rolls) as of late
still have 20% - 50% pre '83 Copper Lincolns in them.

This is interesting. I have not bought rolls of cent coins, and was not aware of the percentages it contained between copper/zinc coins.

String and Son is a paper supplier that also processes coins. So now I'm left wondering whether my rolls were culled and processed by String and Son or by another processor who uses String and Son wrapper rolls.

With so many roll hunters there must be others who've searched machine rolls not processed by Loomis.
I'm interested in what folks are finding.

If Loomis starts culling the hobby is going to suffer.

I've been noticing a steady decline in the % of copper cents in the rolls.

As I search a roll, I note the number of "coppers" on each roll so I can refill them with "zincs" and exchange them for more. The banks like this because it saves them time having to count and reroll them. This has given me an idea of the coppers are drying up around here. Customer wrapped ones seem to have both the highest and lowest % with coppers in them.

I have noticed that locally (SE Florida), the %'s went from 20-25% just five years ago to 6-16% (20% on a good roll). I had my first zero-copper last year, but I can't remember if that was a CWR or from a service.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
