I started going through the cents my father had collected. Some of the 20s ones I questioned but wrote them off as unable to determine. Then I came to this coin and the eye seems to be doubled. Marker shows clash remnants but I don't see them on this coin.
I am unable to verify the attribute from the images, but it certainly could be as the doubling looks about right. A close secondary eyelid to the south. It's actually a fairly uncommon die, but not one a lot of people really look hard for. It took me a couple years to find one in some MS condition, and I was looking.
