Here is my 1957 Lincoln. Cent. His shirt looks really ragged. The excess metal looks almost like feathers, or his shirt is untucked. Please any info.is appreciated.

angiedcannon, Does yours look like the coin in this link? LINK http://goccf.com/t/473436&SearchTerms=1957 ADDED: Here is a pic of each coin, yours and gigi2110's from the thread I gave the link of. This shows that the mintmark location looks to be the same and also die scratches around the date are similar. More than likely, these two coins are from the same die.

Yes sir. It certainly does. My coin is so shiny, I couldn't get great pictures. And this is definitely noticeable in hand. So possible die clash or ?

Quote: So possible die clash Not 100% sure but leaning towards a possible type II counterclash. It may just be gouges to but the area above the head that looks like another rim makes me think a clash.

I cannot tell you how good it is to see anything about this Wheat penny. Been looking far and wide! What would you recommend I do from here with it?

I'm thinking that it's a Die Clash as well.
Errers and Varietys.

Thanks for the new pics! After seeing them, there is no doubt that it's the same die as gigi2110's coin from the other thread.

Thank you. This is my first actual error find! I have had this coin tucked away for years, and finally ran across it and decided I had better try to submit it. I have found ZERO information about this error, over the years. Whether this gets accepted or not, thank you for your knowledge that you openly share with me. Especially as a new comer. I love coin collecting and my first penny I saw while walking with my grandmother. She said, "a penny saved is a penny earned". I was barely 4, and hooked. I am following your advice and I will let ya know what happens. Have a great evening. I'm so happy to be part of this community. Thanks again.

Do not be detoured if this does not pan out, if you enjoy hunting coins please continue. I would suggest shooting this post that will also show the other post of a like coin from the same die. I'm sure this is not the first time a coin from this die has come up but the attributers like to see more than one and this will help. I also see other things on the obverse that match between the two coins and they will too.
