Hi there,

The Perth Mint announced today the release of the one of the biggest coins in Australian history.

Both coins celebrate the the Chinese year of the Dog and are legal tender Australian coins.

The first is a 10 kilo gold bullion coins. Weighing an impressive 10 kilo, this coin will definately be an eye opener if kept on display. A limited mintage of just 20 coins will also make this coin one of Australia's rearest. Cost of this coin will be approximately $295000. Price will be subject to market gold price on day of purchase.

The second coin is a 10 kilo silver bullion coin. Again this coin would be an eye opening when viewed. Limited to a mintage of 1000 this Australian legal tender coin will cost approximately $7500.00. Price will be subject to market gold price on day of purchase.

What's their face value? 5 dollars? I'll just walk into Coles with one and get a loaf of bread. ;-)
