How do you know what is good enough to send to be graded ?

Before you can trust a grading company's opinion..........You should trust your own grading abilities. Then you'll know when something is good enough to send in to be graded. Sending a coin out to be graded is costly. (Many times a costly mistake) You need to know what the coin is going to grade (potential value) and factor in all the costs associated with grading (fees and postage and insurance) to determine if it's worth sending a particular coin to be graded.

but please post only one coin in each topic for ease of conversation and avoidance of confusion as to which coin is being referenced in a topic.

Your 1939 quarter appears to be in really nice condition. Here is the PCGS price guide https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/1939-25c/5808 . Most here would agree it would need to be in at least MS66+ condition for it to be slabbed.

Nice album quality coins but not for grading. Your 39 is the best but with 33.5 million minted they are common in AU - BU
