I would appreciate an opinion on this one, particularly the second 8. There is also something going on with the 1.
Overall, a good strike on the obverse with lots of detail in the hair.

With the Obv looking XF or XF+ and the Rev looking very weakly struck, I think that the date, and all of the Rev is Die Deterioration Doubling ( DDD).

Interesting. So, if I am understanding this correctly they paired an aging reverse die that was approaching end of life with a newer obverse die.
