Going through a roll of quarters and found four 1998 uncurlated coins in mint condition. They are worth according to ebays sold 1998s between 40 and a hundred bucks but are they worth getting graded.

The ebay sold listings for ungraded 1998 D quarters I'm seeing range from $2.00 to $5.00. Some listings for both the P and D mints show a price around $2.50. A complete set of quarters (P&D) from 1968 through 1998 (58 coins) sold for $47.00


The cost to have a third party grader grade and encapsulate your coin will far exceed the value of your quarter.

PCGS MS66 examples sell for under 30$ - so not worth the grading fees. Finding a 67 in a circulated roll of coins is pretty much unheard of. If you look at the rim of your coin you will see nicks but still would be a great album coin!

Save your money. Not worth slabbing. Your coin would still make a great hole filler though.
