I found one that has the V in about the same location as yours. It is not like the standard extra V that are all over the place now. It appears this one may be the second to stray from the standard error? Looking all over the internet has turned up nothing other than yours so far. The pictures are about the best I can get, and the V seems to be filled in with dirt, but I did try a couple pictures with different formats to try and get some detail. Any comments would be welcome.

To CCF! In my opinion, I don't think you have the Extra V. I'm thinking it's a spot or something.

I also initially thought it was a spot or some other anomaly, but due to the raised part on the surface going to the shoulder the left side of the V appears curved in the photo. From another angle, with the right lighting, it is clearly a V. I will have to try and get a picture where it is clearer showing straight impressions.
I wish I could safely clean the dirt out on the valley, that would get a much better photo without having to somehow get the light, magnifying glass, and camera, all in perfect alignment and make it all stay for more than 1 second. Hopefully that will happen in the next day or two.

It's a 2023 Philadelphia, the one with the extra V error.

While it looks really similar to the known "Extra V" 2023 One Cent, it's in a different location.
Now that doesn't mean it's not the same type of error (if you wanna call it that).
You would need to find more coins just like it, to even begin to have something if anything.

There is another one posted in the forums where the stray V is also not in it's usual location. This would make coin #2, but there could be more out there since nobody is really looking for this.

If you can please post a link to that other coin. Could see if it is the same as yours.
Thanks.

The one on your coin seems to be on the field and on the curve of the bust.

I'm wondering if it might be a dropped letter if it's incuse.
