I know I just put a catchy subject , a included in the lot , and for only $.25 I got 5 different altered coins , none of them Chinese made fakes but American Made in my opinion ( I'll post some of them) , these one been a 1943 copper plated that if I put it on ebay for sure I'd get some hits

The surface pitting and bumps are odd. I wonder if it wasn't cast and then chucked in a fire for awhile to cover up those tracks somewhat. The good news is I don't see the two horizontal lines on the reverse that were diagnostic of fakes awhile back.

light weight, odd coloring, and the profile of Lincoln just looks off - maybe the ear?

Is it magnetic?

Could have been a fire, sure. I think it's more likely that the discoloration is a result of someone applying the copper plating in a manner that is not consistent with a trained professional using professional-grade equipment.
