One of the 6 looks like a small date but I think I've been staring at them too long

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the 1982-D large and small date cent that shows ways to identify each.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

they both weigh 3.1grams. I thought that was copper.

Quote: they both weigh 3.1grams. I thought that was copper. Well if they both weigh 3.1 then you have the 3rd copper 1982-D SD ever found. Weight it again and hope you are right. Post the results.

@Cosmo1975 Please post full images of the obverse and reverse of the small date coin IF it does weigh 3.1 grams. If it is the 1982-D copper small date, you have a very rare coin! Good luck!

I would suggest weighing that one coin again and post clear in focus close-ups of that 1 coin, not a group of different coins. Stranger things have happened before; ie; your coin could be the rare one. Look for your post of that possible '82-D small date 3.1 grams.
