When I was kid I kept checking the local bank about every week to see if the Bicentennial half dollars were out yet and then one day I was all excited that they were and I exchanged my pocket change for one. Then I was all bummed out when I got back with it I was upset because the D was missing in the word DOLLAR. An adult coin collector friend told me to hold on to so I have for the last 50 years. From what I have seen online it appears it is the result of grease in the die. I've also seen online that these types of errors don't hold much value. Any estimates of what this would sell for? Maybe just 50 cents. Thanks
