Nice pics, Frankrizzo. You should try to move your light so that it's more overhead the coin instead of at an angle and diffuse it somewhat.

Showing off your sexy feathers? What are you, a fan dancer?

I would change to a more contrasting background. This one looks too similar to the coin. A medium shade of green would make it pop. A very dark black would also work well.
