This Cent has been driving me nuts! I feel like if it was after mint damage, the texture and color would be significantly different. Looking for some opinions. Thanks in advance

Not a mint error, only significant damage that has been toned naturally over time.
Suffering from bust half fever.

When you see metal moved on the surface of the coin it is just damage.

To CCF! It's just damage, not an error. PMD. This can't happen during the striking of the coin.

Thanks for all the welcoming, and quick replies! My first impression was damage also, but I kept questioning it because the line under the eye is quite similar to a die gouge that showed up on some these early 1900s cents. Oh well, time to keep exploring lol. Thanks again!
