Picked up this 1873 Nickel 3-Cent Piece for my set, which was advertised as an Open 3, but the more I look at it I feel like it's a Closed 3. What are your thoughts?

From the NGC variety + page...

1873 OPEN 3 3CN MS
Diagnostics
The upper ball of numeral 3 has been reduced in size to more clearly distinguish the 3 from an 8.

I'm not seeing that on yours...I agree with you!

Looks closed to me. It has the same type of diagnostic as the 1873 Indian Head cent open and closed 3.

Thank you, all! I needed a Closed 3 variety anyhow, so it's found a home in my Dansco.
