Hello everyone! My first post here but have been doing some good reading here on and off for a little while. I'm interested in getting feedback on this odd Wheat penny I came across from 1941. Should be solid copper. Front looks pretty normal but back is white metal with what looks like copper flakes mostly peeled/scraped off. Not sure what to make of it. Thoughts?

To CCF! It's PMD of some sort. Something might have been on the coin at one time, like glue or epoxy.

to the CCF, Gsanj!
I agree with Errers - just a foreign substance on your coin.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

@Gsanj - - A good long soak in acetone might help.

Interesting. My pictures aren't great and PMD would seem reasonable but the base metal color is like nickel or zinc and the copper flakes appear on the surface. I was thinking copper color all the way through. Very weird in any case. Appreciate the feedback! Thank you!
