This Penny Makes No "cents" 1941 But Not Copper?

Gsanj New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 04/02/2025 2:39 pm Hello everyone! My first post here but have been doing some good reading here on and off for a little while. I'm interested in getting feedback on this odd Wheat penny I came across from 1941. Should be solid copper. Front looks pretty normal but back is white metal with what looks like copper flakes mostly peeled/scraped off. Not sure what to make of it. Thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff

My pictures aren't great and PMD would seem reasonable but the base metal color is like nickel or zinc and the copper flakes appear on the surface. I was thinking copper color all the way through.
