Memorial Cents have never been in my wheelhouse, so I'm tossing this out there for those who know a lot more than I do about them.

As some of you know, I bought a *lot* of bags of wheat cents in a couple estate auctions. One of the miscellaneous lots that came with a purchase included several boxes of random coins. This lonely 1973 cent was in a plastic holder with a label containing only a question mark. As I looked at the motto, LIBERTY, and date, it made me wonder if it might be Variety Vista 1973 DDO-001 / Copper Coins 1973P-1DO-001 / Wexler WDDO-001.

Here are the obverse and reverse mug shots:
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?

Here are the areas of possible doubling:
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?

And here are the two possible key markers mentioned on Wexler's site:
The scratch near the rim at 8:00 on the obverse.
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?
The small vertical gouge or scratch between R and I of AMERICA.
1973-Lincoln-Cent---DDO-001?

Thoughts?

Not seeing any doubling. I don't think it's DDO-001.

Thanks! That's what I needed to find out!

I guess it will be a mystery why the original owner had it in a plastic holder. Maybe a birthday gift for a child or something purely sentimental. All the rest of the coins in that box made sense, the usual random silver coins and foreign coins that people save from pocket change.
