detected the dry sand on the beaches of West Central Florida on Saturday. found this 14k white gold necklace and 1.03 in junk U.S. coin.
Last Saturday I found this silver ring with three amythests and 2 czs, $2.80 in U.S. coin.

Someone used a breadtie to hold the necklace together instead of having a new clasp put on it. How do you lose a necklace like that?

Sometimes people only learn after hard lessons. Or maybe they did not care about their jewelry. Either way very nice finds.

Nice jewelry finds. I sure would like to find a piece every time I go out. One advantage of the beach I guess. Summer coming up and people are going to be flocking to the beach. Good luck. Do you notice alot of other people out the detecting when you go out? I have a buddy that hangs out at the NC beach every weekend and he says he sees alot of people looking all the time.

Oh, I don't find a piece of jewelery everytime out, far from it. I just got luck the past two weeks. As to other detectorists, yes. On Saturday there were 5 guys working the beach, and it's a small beach. I usually use an underwater detector in the summer time but mine is being repaired at this time.
