I purchased 4 Peace dollars from an ebay seller on April 5. They arrived today and are all low quality fakes. Seller's username is talioscr I should of known....price was "too good of a deal" and although a US city was named somewhere on seller profile, when I check their "about" tab, seller is based in China. They look fake, they weigh 21 grams and a small magnet sticks like glue, even through the plastic capsule.

Well I guess your only recourse is to submit a complaint with ebay and file for a refund. The complaint of " item not as advertised" will allow you to post pictures like you have here to prove your point along with a written explanation. You should get some type of resolution.

Well there's 2 lessons learned - price & China! Always post here first before you buy - the members will steer you away from bad deals!

Quote: Here's 5 Morgans selling for below melt value. These look like decent counterfeits. Uncirculated? And the seller has 10 more lots available...
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Notice that he received positive feedback from others who purchased CC dollars. What a shame for those buyers.

Here is the response from seller. How lame. I also reported to ebay as fraud. I'll be surprised if I get a refund but we'll see. "Hello, these coins were bought from the countryside#65292;I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations.I have applied to the manager for a refund of $40 for you and the goods do not need to be returned. I hope this can compensate for your loss. Sorry for the bad experience. Wishing you happiness every day"

he 'Applied' to the Manager. all he had to do is look in the mirror and have that convo. They KNEW that they were worthless, if they don't want them back! But that is a good thing 4 less of them to rob somebody else.

But that is a good thing 4 less of them to rob somebody else." True all that! I'm considering giving the fakes to a local police office and letting them know that these were sold illegally via ebay. General Google search often indicates that since counterfeiting is a federal crime, it should be taken seriously and reported to a local police or other gov official, when appropriate. *** Edited by Staff to add Quote tags.
